J.Crew OGJM hyacinth necklace by Orly Genger

excellent pre loved condition J. Crew has just launched a capsule jewelry collection in collaboration with artist Orly Genger. The collection is titled OGJM, a combination of the artist’s initials with those of J. Crew jewelry designer Jaclyn Meyer. Meyer was inspired upon visiting Genger’s studio shortly before an exhibition opening featuring one of the artist’s large, hand crocheted rope installations. Seeing a piece of scrap rope on the ground, the two created a necklace that Genger wore to the opening. The rave reviews led to a larger collaboration for J. Crew. The collection includes a bib necklace featuring an abstract knotting technique (no two necklaces are alike!) in blue, made of climbing rope Looks like one man’s scraps are another’s treasures!
