I could have sworn this was a true 1940s dress when I saw it, as I had *just* found another pair of 40s dresses just moments before. This NOS 1980s early Max Studio dress had me fooled! It was originally sold at a local boutique here in West TN that opened in the 1970s and only closed a few years ago. ‘Mam’selle’ was a FABULOUS store with a stunningly unique inventory! Dijon mustard-color with the best dagger collar I’ve ever seen! Empire waist with princes seams and button front bodice. Chest and decorative cuff buttons are Mother of Pearl. Flared sleeve with hidden side zipper. Slight seam grin at top front panels. There is a very small and faint mark at the second button hole edge. I didn’t try to remove. This could also use a good steam to look even more beautiful. Acetate-rayon crepe, made in USA. Size 6, modeled on size 8. 5ft 8in Flat measurements Shoulders 17.5” PTP 18.5” Waist 15” Hip 25” Length 5
