Vintage 1980’s Karl Lagerfeld Purple Wool jacket, French sz 44 which is approx a US Large or 10/12. Vintage can run small so PLEASE be sure to check the measurements carefully. Made in France. 100% wool, I believe it’s a gabardine weave. Gorgeous rich eggplant purple with black velvet detail at the collars, pockets and buttons. Small pointed collars, five buttons at the front. Chest pocket with a button and two hand pockets also with buttons. Functional buttons at the cuffs. Small hook/eye closure at the neck. When that one is closed it gives a little bit of an equestrian vibe! Fully lined with a smooth burgundy fabric. There are shoulder pads. This is in incredible condition for its age! The only thing that gives a hint to its history is some light fading on a couple of the buttons and a slight pulling of the interior lining near the center of the back. This jacket was well loved and obviously handled with care throughout the years. A fabulous piece of fashion history.
